As a business professional, networking is an important tool to grow your brand and business, and one quick way to do this is having a prepared “30 Second Elevator Speech” which you can share when the opportunity arises. For some people, myself included, speaking in front of strangers or groups induces waves of sweat and nausea, and does not top my list of favorite things to do. Luckily for me, public speaking isn’t a major requirement of being a great real estate professional! However, I recently went to a networking event with a large group of business professionals, and hearing them share their stories and “Whys”, was so inspiring!  Since I don’t have a rooftop to shout it from (and I’d probably pass out and fall off that rooftop anyway), I thought I’d use a more comfortable platform, my personal blog, to share with you why I chose real estate as a career.

The main reason I decided to get into helping people buy and sell their homes is because it should ultimately be an enjoyable life event. However, I have witnessed firsthand how many costly and frustrating mistakes are made when agents don’t have their client’s best interests in mind or lack attention to detail.  I knew that this could be a happier, smoother endeavor for families making a transition and realized that I could take the 10 years of sales and marketing experience that I have and offer a higher level of service for my clients.  It’s this motivation and mission that have led me to creating lasting friendships with many of my clients, and which brings back the renters that I’ve worked with when they are ready to make the move to a home of their own.

So, if your number one qualification for hiring an agent is that they have sold 100+ homes or that they’ve been in the business for over 10 years, I’m not your girl—yet. However, if you want an agent that loves this business whole-heartedly and wants to make your transaction as seamless and enjoyable as possible, I may be the right fit!  I am a part of a great team, a professional group with over 100 years collective experience to draw upon, and if I don’t have an answer to a question you have, I will have no problem finding it for you. Personally, I run my business with honesty and integrity, will put your needs first, and will always treat you the way I’d expect to be treated.

While my “Elevator Speech” is still a work in progress, my “Why” is a no brainer and one I’m eager to share, and it’s to provide you with the best experience possible when you’re buying or selling your home. My broker shared a quote with us recently and I loved it so much that I am going to share it with you, too; I think it says a lot about the team I work with and is also is in line with my “Why:”
